Their food pantry is a trusted community resource. Their efforts to provide nourishment to local veterans in need is essential and remains one of their main missions. VVA154 are self-funded and dependent on companies and individuals who contribute to the efforts through their generosity and/or other fundraising activities.
Make-A-Wish® Foundation Michigan
Strengthening and Empowering children battling critical illnesses
Make-A-Wish® Michigan granted 416 wishes last year to Michigan children with critical illnesses. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids in our Michigan communities.
Holy Spokes Non-Profit Bicycle Works
A unique 501c3 nonprofit organization providing used bicycles, maintenance, education, and much more to Michigan's Greater Detroit area.
They have a simple philosophy to rebuild, recycle, regive, and rejoice!
When they receive a bicycle it goes through a full inspection to determine if it is in need of repair. The majority of them need minor repairs and servicing. These bicycles get cleaned, repaired, tuned up, and ready to ride. After they rebuild them, most are donated to individuals, families, or organizations to be enjoyed once more.
