Earlier in the week, I asked my friend Rev. Kate Thoresen if she would provide a comment about my podcast guest this week. I kind of smiled while I emailed her because I knew she would deliver a kind and worthy comment about Lynda and the service she provides for children dealing with the difficulties of the legal system. Kate delivered and provided a remark I believe all of us would like to receive regarding our efforts to help others.
I am fortunate to announce that I have a podcast recording this Friday with a remarkable person who is helping children in a myriad of advocacy efforts in Wayne County, Michigan. My guest is Lynda McGhee, Co-Executive Director of Michigan Children’s Law Center (MCLC) and we will discuss the important duties and responsibilities she and her colleagues provide to children who come through the court system.
Researching the website and talking to Lynda, I am amazed by all the quality programs and attention to children they provide on a continuous basis. Please take the time to listen to the podcast recording next week if you want to learn about this wonderful organization and the scope of services they provide.
We all say we want a better education for our kids and grandchildren. Without organizations like the MCLC, many children would never obtain the education they need to live a quality life. The task is daunting, but the challenge needs to be addressed and I am pleased to share the mic with this talented and dedicated individual who takes on this challenge.
Rev. Kate said this about Lynda, “I’ve known Lynda for 10 years as we’ve partnered together on behalf of our children and youth in foster care. She is truly A Plus as an Attorney, Advocate, and Amazing woman of faith who actively cares for all children and youth she serves. She goes above and beyond to help our most invisible and vulnerable kids. She’s a true inspiration. I feel fortunate to know her as a dear friend as well. She is always right there to help.”
I think that is all you need to know about my guest. Please look for the podcast next week.
Thank you Lynda and Kate for the time and attention you provide to so many children that need a helping hand. You are amazing.
All the best,
Roger N. Steed
